Have you ever dreamed of your ideal school? A place where you're welcomed each morning with a smile. Where the classroom is nestled in nature. Where adults place their trust in children, without grades or judgments. Where learning follows each child’s passions and natural interests, helping them choose their own path. Where curiosity is the way towards learning and being yourself is welcomed—because your voice is heard. Where every opinion matters, and open dialogue is part of everyday life.
This is everyday life for the middle school children at Poggio d’Oro.
Our classroom is a yurt immersed in nature, where students are guided by two dedicated teachers covering all subjects included in the national curriculum and more.
Lessons take place on-site from Monday to Thursday, while Fridays the classrooom moves to the nearby forest.
Mornings are focused on core subjects: Italian, mathematics, geography, English, history, and science while afternoons—and Fridays in the woods—are dedicated to experiential learning, including music, art, and hands-on activities.
Once a month we organize a group outing that brings together all age groups, nurturing a sense of belonging, collaboration, and shared exploration.
